The Orchestra Nazionale della Luna, founded by Kari Ikonen and Manuel Hermia, is a modern jazz quartet that is both rooted in the jazz tradition and open to the times and horizons of our vast world. Moog and bansuri enrich the sounds, while double bass and drums create an intense rhythmic complicity. Between swing, modernism, spiritual depth and offbeat humour, the group explores the balance between composition and improvisation, acoustic and electronic sounds, while questioning the social disruptions linked to new technologies and AI.
