In the past, St\u00e9phane Galland has worked with big names such as Ibrahim Maalouf, Zap Mama and Ozark Henry. He has also made a point of collaborating with the finest musicians from different cultures, from India to the Balkans and Africa. But this drummer is, without doubt, best known as a founding member of Aka Moon, one of the most legendary jazz groups in the history of Belgian music. St\u00e9phane Galland celebrated his fiftieth birthday in 2019, but the sound he creates remains timeless. Over the years, he has developed a unique rhythmic approach by blending the various musical traditions he has worked within.\nHe draws his inspiration from styles as colourful as they are joyful, and will give us a triple taste of this during this itinerant evening in Brussels.
