Virtuoso saxophonist Pierrick Pédron is pursuing a remarkable career, exploring deep, spiritual and contemporary jazz. Since 2019, he has led a French quartet made up of double bassist Thomas Bramerie, pianist Carl-Henri Morisset and drummer Elie Martin-Charrière. This intergenerational group combines maturity and creative vitality, offering demanding and unique music. Their first album revisits Ornette Coleman's The Shape of Jazz to Come, a challenge of reinterpretation. With the help of master harmonist Laurent Courthaliac, the quartet recomposes the work in depth, celebrating Ornette's freedom and collective vision, while forging their own musical identity.
