"I work as an illustrator and, since the late 80s, I have mainly used the linocut technique. It allows me to be more concise, to play with black and white masses and thus to suggest details in the image by default.
I find that this rhythm of black and white lends itself well to the music and to the images of musicians in action, friends or characters, known or unknown, that are presented in this exhibition.
And, as with listening to a recording, the impression of an engraving can hold some pleasant surprises!
And all, I hope, with a sense of humour and a hint of swing and jazz-musette...".
