Both a signature and the climax of the festival, Night crystallises a carte blanche of three times and three spaces. Fabian Fiorini is no accident. Talented, chameleon-like, prolific and crazy enough to rise to the challenge of putting together three projects as different as they are complementary, Fabian Fiorini has created a portrait of himself, a living snapshot of an evening in the company of his audience. Night 2021 is all about light:

Fabian Fiorini has always been interested in the cross-pollination between contemporary classical music and jazz, where he sees composition and improvisation as equivalent components. He regularly composes for the theatre, dance and film, as well as commissioning works for large orchestral ensembles.
At the same time, he is constantly expanding his knowledge of music from other continents.
At the beginning of the nineties, he was part of the generation that helped the Brussels Kaai bring Belgian jazz to an undeniable maturity.
It was in this crucible that Aka Moon was later formed, the group with which he collaborates most often, both on stage and on album. Other groups in which Fabian Fiorini plays a key role in the development of jazz include the Fiorini-Houben Quartet, Al Funduq, Octurn and MikMâäk.
